Challenges of PM Kisan Yojana

Despite the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana, there are some challenges that the scheme faces, including:

Limited coverage:

Although the scheme aims to cover around 14 crore farmers, many eligible farmers are still left out due to lack of awareness or inability to meet the eligibility criteria.

Delay in payments:

In some cases, farmers have reported delays in receiving the benefits due to issues with the verification process or incorrect bank account details.

Dependence on agriculture:

While PM Kisan Yojana provides financial support to farmers, it does not address the underlying issues of low productivity and dependence on agriculture as the sole source of income.

PM Kisan Yojana is a step towards improving the lives of small and marginal farmers in India. The scheme provides much-needed financial support to farmers and ensures their social security. However, there is still a long way to go in terms of reaching out to all eligible farmers and addressing the underlying issues of low productivity and dependence on agriculture.
